The Tennis Week Interview: Jennifer Capriati By Tennis Week

A pair of former World No. 1 Grand Slam champions faced off on a temporary grass court constructed in the heart of midtown Manhattan today and challenged all comers.

Jim Courier and Jennifer Capriati launched HSBC Presents Wimbledon 2009 at Rockefeller Center. The event enabled fans to play mixed doubles on the grass with Courier and Capriati as well as watch Wimbledon live on the big screen set up overlooking the court. Fans were treated to free strawberries and cream and could pose with the Wimbledon title trophy using green screen technology.

Tennis Week caught up with both Capriati and Courier for interviews. The Capriati interview is here and the Courier interview will be posted later this week on this site.
