Oudin On Site By Tennis Week
Tuesday, November 03, 2009

Melanie Oudin strong sense of self-belief — proclaimed in both her play and in the word written on her customized adidas — helped power her to the US Open quarterfinals. Now, you can become an Oudin believer online.

The 18-year-old from Marietta, Georgia launched her official website today. Melanie Oudin.com contains video of Oudin at the US Open and on Ellen, features, Oudin's US Open Playlist (Miley Cyrus, Kings Of Leon and Jay Z are among her musical choices), an opportunity to join the community of Oudin "believers" and images of her now famous yellow-and-pink sneakers.

"This year if I've learned if you believe in yourself then anything can happen," Oudin says in the lead video on her site.

The 49th-ranked Oudin — the third highest-ranked American woman behind top-ranked Serena Williams and sixth-ranked Venus Williams —  figures to play a prominent part in American hopes to reclaim the Fed Cup as Oudin joins Alexa Glatch, Vania King and Liezel Huber on the U.S. squad that takes on host Italy in the Fed Cup final.
