Fatherhood will not significantly alter Roger Federer's schedule next season.

The World No. 1 released his 2010 schedule and aims to play 18 events next season. To view Federer's complete 2010 calendar please visit this Roger Federer.com link.

The 15-time Grand Slam champion will open the season returning to the Capitala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi then play Doha before he tries to recapture the Australian Open title in Melbourne, starting on January 18.

Federer will play Dubai followed by American Masters 1000 tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami. The reigning Wimbledon champion will play a total of five tournaments on North American soil — Indian Wells, Miami, Toronto, Cincinnati and the US Open.

A slight shift in his schedule will see Federer play three clay-court tournaments in preparation for defense of his Roland Garros title — Rome, Estoril and Madrid, where is defending champion — before launching defense of his Roland Garros championship in May. Traditionally, Federer has played Monte Carlo — he has played Monte Carlo for five consecutive years, including runner-up finishes in 2006-2008 — but he will skip that event this year.

The Swiss stylist has entered the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, which will be his grass-court tune-up tournament for Wimbledon. After the US Open, Federer plans to play Shanghai, Basel, Paris and the ATP World Tour Finals in London next November.
